DCRC is committed to uphold the highest standards in training capabilities through decades of combined experience for those who choose us for the Peer Support Specialist Training (PSST). The Peer Support Specialist Training is a program that prepares individuals to become Peer Support Specialist and provide services in the Mental Health field. The program is designed for those who are 18 years or older and self-identify as having lived experience with the process of recovery from mental illness, substance use disorder, or both, either as a consumer of these services or as the parent or family member of the consumer. The training is in compliance with Senate Bill 803 (SB 803), authored by California State Senator Jim Beall sets a standard of Seventeen Core Competencies which are instructed throughout the training.
DCRC’s Upcoming 2026 In-Person Training
January 12, 2026, through February 19, 2026 (80 hours). Classes meet in-person on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays from 9:30am – 3pm Registration will begin Monday December 1st, 2025 with a Deadline on Wednesday January 7th, 2026
