This year marks an extraordinary milestone for the Disability Community Resource Center: 50 years of advocacy, access, and community-powered change.

To honor this moment—and to signal where we are headed—we are proud to unveil DCRC’s new 50th Anniversary logo, created to celebrate our history while boldly looking forward. It represents five decades of standing alongside people with disabilities, and it sets the tone for what comes next.

With this anniversary, we are launching 50 Forward, an ambitious, multi-year campaign to strengthen DCRC for the next generation.

Disability Community Resource Center 50 Forward 1976-2026

50 Forward is an $8 million capacity-building campaign designed to ensure DCRC has the programs, infrastructure, and organizational strength needed to meet the growing and evolving needs of people with disabilities across our community. This investment will allow us to expand impact, innovate responsibly, and sustain the advocacy and services that so many rely on.

Throughout this anniversary year, you will be invited to join DCRC as we announce new initiatives, launch programs, and celebrate key milestones tied to the 50 Forward campaign. We have so much planned for 2026, and we want you to be part of this moment—not just as a supporter, but as a partner in shaping DCRC’s future.

Through 50 Forward, DCRC will:

  • Launch new initiatives and programs that respond to emerging community needs for independent living
  • Strengthen advocacy efforts to advance disability rights and systems change
