Dear DCRC Community,

The Disability Community Resource Center (DCRC) is fully reopening our doors to the public on Monday, May 10, 2021 consistent with LA County Public Health protocols for safe reopening.  After over a year from the closing of our offices due to the threats associated with COVID-19 and moving to exclusively remote operations the DCRC is ready to be back with in-person services!  All group and individual meetings at DCRC offices will resume with hybrid tele-work solutions still available for those who need them.

DCRC recognizes that COVID-19 has had a devastating impact on the disability community.  We lost many friends, family and colleagues to this virus and we continue to see tremendous economic, housing and health challenges ahead.  In response to this pandemic DCRC provided essential support to our community through food distribution programs, financial and housing aid, a Digital Bridge Project, health education, mental health support, Personal Protective Equipment distribution and critical vaccination access.  This work will continue along with our core Independent Living services because if we learned anything from this past year, it is that we must remain responsive to our evolving community needs.

The safety of our community remains our highest priority as we recommit to providing the best independent living services we can.  We look forward to welcoming back our community members to our newly painted building with enhanced health and sanitation measures in place – including our fully vaccinated staff!
