Dear DCRC Family,

During this holiday season, I want to let you know how grateful I am for your support, which enabled our incredible staff to work our way through the many challenges that this past year laid before us. You have been in our minds and by our side every step of the way as we focused on building resiliency in our community so that people with disabilities don’t just survive this pandemic – but we thrive after it. This was a year that tested all of us, and I am exceedingly proud of how we came together to find our way forward.

This past year DCRC increased vital community supports in ways that has redefined the Independent Living Movement. We are poised to kick off 2021 with what we are calling Independent Living 2.0 as we begin implementation of a new 5 year strategic plan that we developed with a strong focus on outward facing community engagement. In a year marked by so much struggle, DCRC took the opportunity to see what lessons could be learned to make us stronger and better equipped to respond to emerging community needs. I can’t wait to embark on this new plan because I know we are ready to lead by modelling self-sufficiency and innovation that ultimately leads to better lives for people with disabilities. The possibilities are truly limitless – but we still need your help.

If you haven’t had a chance to make your end of year charitable gift, this is the time. Please donate what you can at www.DCRC.co/donate so that we may continue our work in 2021. If you want to wait until after the new year, there is no better way to show your support than by making one of the first donations that will shape the future of the DCRC and the disability community as we embark on our next phase of programmatic and physical growth. We welcome your support now and every day, because you are our family – and family means we are there for each other.

Here’s hoping you have a relaxing and rejuvenating holiday season, and that the new year brings all of us continued health and prosperity.

Happy Holidays,

TJ Hill
Executive Director
